Zuhra Meredova is an avid karate practitioner with an ambition to be a coach in the martial art. Her experience in the karate department will help her achieve her primary goal – to become a coach and train her students to be masters like her. She has twice been named world champion, and she hopes to raise and discipline students in the future. Karate is not just a sport but a way of life to her, meaning that she has lived a life full of disciplining herself in martial art.
Fighting as a Child
Zuhra was born in Turkmenistan to a family of eight, but her father died when she started learning karate in her younger years. During her childhood, she dreamed of being able to defend herself from evil lurking in the shadows, and she knew that martial arts solved that problem. With only her mother to raise the family, she struggled to find the physical support she needed from her, so she assimilated an interest in martial arts. However, as the youngest child in her own family, her mother supported her financially but could not maintain Zuhra’s childlike tendencies. Aside from financial support, her mother could not supply much more support, resulting in Zuhra struggling for much of her childhood.
Meredova grew up fighting everyone as she learned to face life’s challenges and people with survival on her mind. She later became acquainted with karate as her focus and found it to be a beautifully pleasing art. It was her main hobby as she frequented her mind on it.
Role Models and Speculatory Goals
Zuhra looked to her mother as a hero in her life with respect to being a mother, but from the perspective of karate and other sports, she admired an Azerbaijani athlete from a national sports team because of how good he was at his trade. In ten years, she sees herself as an athlete and a mother.
She attended the Sports College in Uzbekistan and enrolled at the Sports University of Turkmenistan in 2014. Zuhra went to the university with Ken, who was her companion while undergoing the studies and training to become athletes.
Although she did not receive any awards while she was enrolled at the Sports University or the Sports College, Zuhra knew within herself that she was worthy of an award. The only reason she did not receive any awards was because Turkmenistanian academic institutions did not allocate awards to any athlete. However, she witnessed athletes with great potential who had twice become world champions and earned an award in every country they visited.
Zuhra wants everyone to know she has proven herself in the art of karate as an athlete. She has proven it to herself and her family and wants to prove it to the world. She has hopes of demonstrating her athleticism through her children, to whom she will be a real coach and train in the ways she raised herself.
Her main goal is to have the crowd admire athletes at competitions and have the audience ask whose students are participating out of awe. Two of her children will be part of the group of athletes. Alongside her coaching career, she will continue to be an athlete.
